12 Days of Christmas 2016 // Coming Soon!!

*skips in sipping peppermint mocha and humming Winter Wonderland*

Hello everyone! How are you all on this lovely November day? :D

Why am I in such great spirits, you asked? I finished a wreath order last night. So I am very happy that's over with. I even volunteered to cook dinner... XD And so aside from keeping up with the laundry (everyone around here has this strange fascination with clean clothes) and tidying up a bit (let's face it, my desk is a wreck) I have the day mostly free and will therefore be posting this (and obviously I did if you're reading it). And probably writing/scheduling some other post. ;)

Peoples, guess what?! It's only about three weeks away!!! :D

What am I talking about? Well, 12 Days of Christmas of course!! Last year, 6 other bloggers and I put on this fun little Christmas linkup. The way I did it then was email each of them, but didn't say anything about it here on the blog until the linkup began. This year, we're taking a slightly different route. I've been in touch with all of last year's participants and they're all in for this year too (yay!!). And it's been decided to let anyone else in on this as well. :) Read on for details and whatnot...

What: 12 Days of Christmas is a blog linkup that I hosted here last Christmas. It runs for 12 days, beginning on the 14th and ending on Christmas Day. :) Last year, all the amazing posts ranged from Christmas songs and the stories behind them to Christmas traditions, recipes and books – and some lovely Christmas stories written by these great writers we have around here. Any and all things Christmas are welcome! :D

For a look inside last year's linkup, check out this  wrap-up post for all the links. :)

When: 12 Days of Christmas will be running Wednesday, December 14th through Sunday, December 25th (Christmas Day). Mark your calendars!

Where: There will be a post on this blog every day throughout the event (as well as a couple of days on Chosen Vessels). Aside from whatever my post is for the day, there will be links to whoever else is posting that day. So although I'm hosting, we're all in this together!

Why: Last year and again this year, the purpose of 12 Days of Christmas is to remind all of us of the true Reason for the Season. And to share Christmas love and joy with each other, and to enjoy ourselves while we're at it. :)

How: For anyone interested in taking part, please email me through the Blogger contact form at the bottom right of this page. (If you do not get a reply from me within 24-48 hours, please try again and/or leave me a comment letting me know. The contact form has been known to act up and I don't want to miss any of y'all!) If you're wishing to take part, please be in contact with me on or before Sunday, December 11th. (If something comes up and you can't, please let me know ASAP and we'll work something out. :))

Spread the Word: Do you know someone who would be interested in joining us? Please spread the word around! Use the button below in a blog post or add it to your blog sidebar, linking here, to point everyone over! :D

If you have any questions, leave a comment or shoot me an email! :D Last year we had a total of 7 participants. Can we double that this year? Triple it? :)

  6. Soo late to the party on this, but I would love to join in! It may be because it is late and I am staring at a computer screen without my glasses, but I don't see your blogging email form. I have a Christmas themed short story dealing with my youngest NaNo character, a kitten, and his big brother who is not so fond of cats ;) So if you have room, I would love to join!

  7. Sounds like fun! I thought it was amusing because I was actually thinking of doing a "Twelve Days of Christmas" themed blog party or something and then your post came in a day or two later. :O We're genius twins. :P
