Dandelion Dust // Blog Tour Signup

Well, folks, the time has come. *deep breaths* Yup, you read that right. I'm preparing to release my precious book to the world. *runs around the room screaming*

I originally wasn't planning to have a blog tour. I was going to quietly publish my book and then announce it after the fact. But...two friends were very quick to tell me "um, yes, Faith. You ARE having a blog tour. Don't argue." When they went so far as making plans to handle the tour for me, I caved in. :P

The release date will be June 30th and the blog tour will be June 28th through June 30th. If you would like to take part, that would be so awesome! :D

Also -- a quick note to anyone who would like to take part but doesn't have a blog. I need reviews! If you would like to be a reviewer (and get to read the book for free + without a time frame), leave a comment and/or message me through the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Blessings, all! :D
~Faith

  2. Hi Faith,

I can't participate in the blog tour as June and July are both going to be very busy for me, but I'd love to review Dandelion Dust at some point. If you'd like me to review it without a time frame, my email is kellynroth@gmail.com (though I think you might have it?)

  6. Hi Faith! I would love to participate, but we will be doing VBS with our church that week! I'll think about whether it would be wise to sign up but I'm probably going to end up not being able to. I'd love to read Dandelion Dust eventually, though!

  10. So exciting! If you still need more people to review your book, I'd enjoy doing that. :) my email is carissarosep(at)gmail(dot)com

  11. Congratulations, Faith!!! :DDD How exciting!! So, do I understand this correctly - you've now written two whole books (War Tears and Dandelion Dust)? Or was War Tears a short story/novella? If I remember right, WT was somewhere over 50,000 words, yes? Anyway. Super job. This is amazing. :D

I'd really like to participate somehow. But I'm terrible at knowing too far ahead if I'll be busy at a certain time or not, so I can't guarantee that I'll be able to that week. Could you explain what a blog tour is, though, in case I do sign up?

    1. Thank you sooo much, Eve!! :D Yup, two completed books now! Haha, nope, WT is actually over double the length of DD. :P At one point in time it was around 50,000, but I finished the first draft in April with a whopping 128,000. *dies*

Oh, I totally understand that. :) Oh, absolutely!! (Haha, I should've put some sort of explanation in the post. XP) So a blog tour is basically a promotion for a book release. Usually, but not always, for independently published books. The author usually (and in this case :P) hosts it, and other bloggers can take part. The options for this one are book spotlight (you'll post the synopsis, book cover, links to where it's available, etc., all of which I'll send to participants), book review (I send you an e-copy of the book in exchange for your review), and author interview (you send me 4-5 writing/DD related questions and I send you my replies, which you'll post on whatever day of the tour). You'll also be able to share about the giveaway and anything else going on those 3 days. :)
Does that make sense? I probably left something out but...*nods* pretty much! If you have any questions, let me know. :D

    2. Oh, shoot! How'd I miss that?! Wow, you go girl! lol. Actually I think I remember you mentioning that, now. You must be dying with all that editing.. I'm dead after editing a SHORT STORY. XD

Ahh, alrighty! Makes perfect sense, no questions! Thank you for explaining. :) I thought that was pretty much it, but I wanted to double check just in case I had the wrong idea. Hmmm... I typically don't really do that kind of promoting on my blog; feels a bit out of place, you know? But I really, really want to help promote your book! So we'll see. (I also would love to read it, but I think I've mentioned before how hard it is for me to get to a book.) I think that author interview option might be a great one to try, and I'll of course be sharing your info on my social media as well! :D

I feel bad for not being more involved and helping out in bigger ways! This really is a big, exciting accomplishment! But sounds like you've got a pretty great crew around ya anyway, and at least I can cheer you on in the comments lol.

    3. Hehe, it wasn't really 'announced' other than in my April recap. ;) *laughs* Um, yeah, pretty much. When I think that I wrote a book and edited it 3 times in less than 6 months... *cough* I think I'm insane.

Hehe, okiedoke. I feel like I'm pretty terrible at explaining stuff so...good. :P
Yep, I definitely understand! (Hmm, yeah, I believe so. If you ever *do* wanna review-read it, let me know tho. :)) Thank you so much, girl!! :D

Aww, don't feel bad!! Your comments mean more to me than I can say. Seriously!! <3 Hehe, always. ^_^
