Chasing a Dream • connected to Dandelion Dust
Status: writing first draft.
Word Count: 17,000 and counting
Release Date: tentatively, summer 2023
All he has ever known faded into the rearview as Drew Traven drove away from the family ranch to chase his dream of being in the rodeo. He planned to ride bulls for a few months, have some fun, and go back home. He didn’t plan to be good enough to last all season. And he certainly didn’t plan to fall for the judge’s blue-eyed, free-spirited, barrel-racing daughter.
Leah Morgan’s dream has always been to study veterinary medicine. It’s her passion, her calling, her heart. It’ll take more than a handsome cowboy with a penchant for making her laugh to change her mind.
Will they take a chance on losing it all or rely on the unlikelihood of second chances? And how long can you ride a dream before you get bucked off?
*not final*
I thought love at first sight was just something people said. Until it happened to me.
When Charity arrived on the cattle-dotted plains of Oklahoma, she didn’t intend to fall for her best friend’s brother. But as the weekend speeds by in a blur of summertime, laughter, and memories, she finds herself clinging tightly to the time she’s been given—and dreading the coming goodbye.
As time passes and the unknowns begin to unfold, Charity learns that sometimes all it takes is one sunshine-drenched summer to show you how special you are.

I love that first blurb ... B-)
ReplyDeleteThe others are awesome as well!! I'm so happy that you added this page! :D And .. you have 15K ad 20K written in David and Beth's books?!?!? That's so awesome!!! For some reason I thought you had between 10 and 15K for both. ;)
Oh, and I really want to read more of "If there's no Second Chance". I think I started reading it last year. Before we met. No pressure, of course. ;)
Okay, I'll be quiet now. ;P I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the stories you add to this page!!!
Kind of figured you would... ;)
DeleteYes, yes, yes!! Isn't it fabulous?? :D I'm so pleased with how those books are coming. (And, ya know, if I would *only* write those I could probably finish them sooner...but instead I'm sidetracked on a little snippet with these same characters. B-))
Ah, of course – no pressure. That's another story that's, uh, stuck? But it will be finished...eventually. ;)
Thanks, Jesseca! I don't know *when* I'll be adding more (blurbs are sooo hard to write), but we'll see. :D
'War Tears' and 'War Tears' prequel... Sound very interesting, Faith! World War II really interests me, and I LOVE finding fiction books that are about WWII: it really puts thing in perspective and is intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to being able to read these fantastic books! :D
And YES, blurbs are hard to write! xD I mean, how to dense things and make sense of it all?! Lol! But I just put my pen to paper and see what happens, when it comes to blurbs, haha! ;D
Aww, I'm glad you think so, Angela! :D I have a love for Christian historical fiction too, preferably WWII. :)
DeleteThank you!! That's so encouraging for me to hear. :)
Borderline impossible!! Yes, yes, yes. My thoughts exactly. For me to write a blurb I have to be in the mood to write a blurb. Otherwise they turn out short and flat. :P ...And sometimes they do anyway. ;)
Thanks for commenting and for visiting my blog! xD
Agh!! Yes, I definitely need "War Tears" and anything having to do with it!!!! Please and thank you? ^.^
ReplyDeleteAww, I'm glad it sounds appealing to you, Abi!! :) Hopefully I'll be looking for beta-readers by...winter? XD
DeleteWOW...it sounds like you are quite a writer, Faith. I would love to read your works sometime, if that's okay. I would love to be an EARLY reader of your stories, and I'll give you a review also, when any are published or something.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy! I certainly have a lot of projects going. :)
DeleteYeah, that's absolutely okay. I would love to have you read my work. That would be awesome! Would you be interested in being a beta-reader for "War Tears" in a couple of months?
I think the BLURB word is cute! May I use that on my blogs?
ReplyDeleteIt IS cute! :) Oh, absolutely!
DeleteGIRL. OH MY WORD THAT PREQUEL TO WAR TEARS, TO WIN HER HEART. IT LIKE SOUNDS LIKE A PROFESSIONAL BOOK PLOT AND BLURB. MAY I READ IT??? AND WAR TEARS? And basically all of your stories/books sounds good, so yes. <333
ReplyDelete*beams* *blushes* YOU ARE JUST TOO NICE GIRLIE. It's...its...not very professional. At all. Right now it's just a big mess while I focus on finishing War Tears. XD OF COURSE YOU MAY READ IT. *cough* Eventually. I meant to say eventually. XD Also... *whispers* I'll be sharing a Christmasy part of To Win Her Heart here soon, if I get it finished... *wink*
DeleteOh my gosh, Firefly, I LOVE WW2 history. I've always wanted to write in historical fiction, and I used to, but I wasn't much good at it. WW2 is sort of a hobby, if that makes sense. Love Band Of Brothers, and I love reading books on that kind of stuff. I'm reading The Diary of a Young girl, which is a good insight to the OTHER side of WW2, the jews. Anyway, thought I'd say that. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, can you stop by my blog and maybe follow? I'd appreciate it!
*grins* WWII is the best!! Hehe, yep, that makes sense. I haven't read Diary of a Young Girl, but I have read other book on Anne Frank. :)
DeleteI believe I already follow your blog... The Depth of my Faith? And you recently swapped from WordPress to Blogger? *nods* I'm already a follower. ;)
I'm new to you blog, but it looks amazing. I love the header. I remember seeing the blog tour for your book on Faith's (Florid Sword's) blog.
ReplyDeleteYour blurbs sound great. I especially love the last one. Really pulled me in. :)

Ohh, these all sound so good!!! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read them!!!
