So yeah. This one is on couples (because Valentine's Day obviously) and it's going to be so much fun because I'm using my most fab couple – Ryder and Charity, from my precious Dandelion Dust. *beams* (Because I'm like drowning in draft two and like I need to remember how much I love these like peoples. *cough*)
Also, on a sidenote, this book is currently in the very capable hands of my dear friend and critique partner, sooo... *dies* *anxiously awaits her reactions* XD
~ The Questions ~
How and why did they meet?
*grins* Backstory! I could legit just paste in the whopping two-page prologue right here, but...naw. I'll not. Okay, so, how they met. Charity actually met Hannah (Ryder's little sis) when she was 15. The girls kept in touch and two years later, Charity was able to spend a weekend with Hannah's family...and met Ryder. ;)
What were their first impressions of each other?
*dies* So pretty much Charity made up her mind right away that Ryder was THE ONE, but he was a bit more keep-the-emotions-hidden for awhile. After that, they got to know each other some but he tried to act indifferent to it all as he felt her out. Like he wasn't falling for her...but he was. He totally was. *nods* I know these things.
How would they prove their love for each other?
Um, I'm not really sure I understand what this question is asking... Hmm. Well, they live about 1,000 miles apart, so I think just that they have such a long-distance relationship and both put forth an effort to make it work says a lot. :)
What would be an ideal date?
Hmm... Picnic in a field somewhere. Driving down a dirt road, talking and laughing for hours. It doesn't take much to make them happy. :P
Is there something they emphatically disagree on?
Yes. Flip-flops. Sandals. Pretty much any cute, summery shoe. Ryder thinks they are absolutely useless and should be outlawed. Charity, on the other hand, doesn't wear anything else unless there's snow on the ground. So yeah...they obviously disagree on that, but maybe she'll win him over eventually. Although I kind of doubt it... ;)
But for the things that really matter, they don't disagree...often.
List 5 “food quirks” they know about each other. (Ex: how they take their coffee, if they’re allergic to something, etc….and feel free to mention other non-food quirks!)
I'm going to half-cheat on this one and list 5 quirks, back and forth between the two, and the others opinion of each. Not necessarily food because...there isn't a lot of eating in this book. *nods*
#1: Ryder takes his coffee black, Charity's is usually 65% cream and sugar.
#2: Ryder has a bad habit (hush, this is totally a quirk too) of biting his nails. Which...doesn't really bother Charity as much as she thought it would, although she refrains from it herself.
#3: Ryder is against makeup (INCLUDING GREEN EYESHADOW!! XD), particularly when it's on Charity. *nods*
#4: Ryder is one of those dreadful book-spine-breaker, but Charity can't imagine anything so atrocious.
#5: To Charity, certain flowers must be certain colors. Like, roses must be red or sometimes white, etc. Ryder memorized these preferences pretty quickly. :P
What’s one thing they know about each other that no one else does?
Uhhh...this is going to take some thinking. Oohh, I know!! There's a time during the book when these two know a secret that no one else knows, but I can't elaborate on that because *evil author cackling* major spoilers.
What’s one thing that they keep a secret from each other?
Uh. Well. They don't keep secrets? *whispers* Or if they do they're not telling me. *pretends this is a good answer and moves on*
How would their lives be different without each other?
(As you might've guessed if you've read the synopsis, this 'what-if' arising in the book...at least for Charity. So I'm just going to answer this in a 'if they'd never met' sort of 'different without each other' scenario. *nods*)
Ryder and Charity are quite different in a lot of ways, but they both pull the other 'out of their comfort zone' depending on the situation. Charity is more herself when she's around Ryder, exposing the true side of her that most people don't see. And Ryder is more apt to try new things if Charity talks him into it. ;)
Where do they each see this relationship going?
Heh. *wonders if this is a spoiler-y question* Let's just say that they both know that, if things continue as they have progressed thus far, a ring and a white dress will appear in their future sooner or later...
