I never would've... {2nd Anniversary}

Today, June 11th, 2017, is my second anniversary in the blogsphere. Like, WOW

As opposed to the Q&A I did last year, this year I'm doing a list of things that never would have came about if I hadn't started blogging.

~ I never would've known the meaning behind words and slang like 'feels', 'ship', or OTP.

~ I never would've met all y'all. I have been blessed with so many friends 'round here. <3 <3

~ I never would've won a writing contest.

~ I never would've stuck with writing. Just think, all those stories and books I flail about on here may not even exist.

~ I never would've found NaNoWriMo or Camp NaNo...and made so many wonderful friends through that.

~ I never would've found so many great books, mostly independently published ones.

~ I never would be publishing a book. (Blog tour signup closing tomorrow!)

After realizing all that, I believe it's safe to say God had a plan when He led a drifting, 14 year-old girl to the Circle C Adventures blog, and planted in her mind the desire to start a place to share her own ideas and dreams.

In my first year of blogging, I published 104 posts. (Unfortunately, this time last year I didn't take note of my comments, followers, pageviews, etc. So that's about all I know. xD)

After two years of blogging, my stats look like this...

Followers: 43 (Google) + 29 (email)
Pageviews: 50,173
Most popular post: The Get to Know Me Tag (182 views)

I was going to do a giveaway of some kind to celebrate, but I haven't been able to make a permanent decision on what I wanted to giveaway, so I decided against that. If like me you love giveaways (especially books ones!), be sure to keep your eye out for a giveaway coming with the blog tour in a couple weeks. ;)

So long friends! How long have you been blogging? How long have you been reading my blog? Have any of you been here since those awful, first posts? *cringes*

  1. Congrats on two years! I've been reading your blog for less than a month, but we're Goodreads friends. I can't wait to read your book!

    1. Thank you! :D Aww, I hope you enjoy! <3

  2. Happy blogging anniversary! I've been blogging since October 2016, and I'm still learning how to write posts that aren't cringe-worthy, but it is such a fun hobby :D
I've been a follower on Stories by Firefly for only a little while, but I've LOVED every single one of the posts that have popped up in my inbox! Keep up the awesomeness, Faith ;)

    1. Thank you, Delilah. :) Aww, I've read some really great posts of yours! Yup, I loved it too. :D
Aww, I'm so glad! <3 I hope you continue to enjoy what I post. :)

  3. Happy Blogiversary, Faith!!!!!!! :D That’s so exciting that you have been blogging for 2 years now! Let’s see, I’ve been reading your blog since almost the beginning. August 2015, is when I found your blog and then I went back and read all your old posts! I’ve always really enjoyed your blog! Congratulations!! :)

    1. Thank you sooo much, Rebekah!! :D Oh, so cool! *hugs* I'm so glad you enjoy it, girl! <3

  4. Oh wow, two years! Congrats Faith! :D I will have been blogging for six months by the end of this month. And I've been following your blogs for almost the same amount of time. :)

I actually still don't know what "feels" means?

For me, one thing that never would have happened if I hadn't started blogging is be in the same cabin with you for camp nano in July!! :D *squeals*

    1. Thanks, Karyssa! :D Ahh, so exciting!! Congrats!

Hehe, I didn't get it for the longest time... Basically, it's like when a book 'makes you feel'. The characters are hurting (or are happy) and you're hurting and you 'got all the feels'. From that, books get called 'feelsy' and...yeah. Fangirl stuff, I guess. XD

Awww, yes!! <3 I'm so looking forward to it too! :D

  5. Yay for Faith!!! *flails and squeals and hugs you*
I'm so thankful that I met you through the blogging sphere! I love our crazy convos about anything and everything, fighting over who gets what fictional guy, and all of your writing help!! Thankful we were brought together by blogging! ;)
    Keep it up, girlie!

    1. *beams and squeals and hugs you*
Aww, I'm so thankful for our friendship too! <3 Haha, yes, the 'fighting' is always over the guys. Wonder why that is? XD
      Thank you, girlie!

  6. Aw, how fun!! Happy 2 years!! I've been following your blog since...I'm not sure. Somewhere around that writing contest that Lesa McKee held and your beautiful story placed first! :) And I've enjoyed every post. :)

I've been blogging for...eek, a long time? I think it's been about 6 years on my current blog, but I've had a blog on various sites since I was 11. That means a LOT of cringe-worthy posts... XD

So excited for your upcoming book! <3

    1. Thank you so much, Raechel! :) Ahh, yes. I had been reading your blog for awhile then, but never commented, I don't believe. I actually found that contest through your blog, if I remember correctly!

Oh, wow!! Haha, nope, means you've grown a lot through it and definitely 'know the ropes'. ;)

      Aww, thanks, girl! <3

  7. Ah don't you hate when you type a long paragraph and accidentally click away from the page, erasing it all... *grumbles*

Anyway, yaaaaaay!! Happy two year anniversary! Gosh, I don't know exactly how long I've been following you, or what the first post I read from you was - but it's been a good while. I remember when you started Stories by Firefly, and reading that "Welcome" post. I was so excited you decided to start a writing blog. :) But I was going through your archives on Chosen Vessels, and I *think* I've been around since your Father's Day post in 2015. How time flies!

It's been great fun entering your contests, reading your stories, and hearing about what's going on in your life. You've been a fantastic blogging friend! I apologize, again, for not being around more, but I know you understand so thank you for that, too. <3 "I never would've stuck with writing ... I never would be publishing a book." Wow. Can you imagine not having done everything you have? I mean you've done a lot, Faith! Granted, I don't know you outside of the blogging world, but I just can't see you as someone who didn't write often! A blog can change things in subtle, crazy ways. :D

Anyway. Enough gushing, I think you get the point. Congratulations, and thank you for letting us be a part of your writerly venture! Keep goin' - up, up, up! :D

    1. UGHH, yes. That has got to be the worst.

Aww, thank ya, Eve dear! :D Yep, it's been awhile since I started reading Edge of Night too. Oh, lovely! Oh, yes, I think I linked to your poem that Fathers Day? Or used it maybe? *hopes I asked permission because I was obviously a beginner then*

That means so much to be that people enjoy what I write! Hehe, yep, I definitely understand. The deeper I am into school work or writing stuff, I understand more and more how blogging can get set aside. :P
No, I honestly can't! I mean, what would I be doing with all the time I would have on my hands?! It mostly definitely can! God had and still has a plan. <3

Thank you so much!! <3 Blessings to you!

  8. Alright, Faith! I'm proud to say that I've been following you since Post #2! I guess that makes me one of your earliest followers! ;) And that's quite a few big accomplishments that you wouldn't have had without your blog. ;) Congrats on everything! I love your blog. (To be honest, it's one of my top favorite blogs I follow.) :) Happy blogging! The blogosphere became a better place when you started. Here's to another good year!

    1. Yay!! :D Haha, yep, I believe you're one of the (if not THE) first followers. I know!! So amazing to think about. (Aww, I'm so glad, girl! <3)
Thank you so much, Bethany!! Blessings to you in all you do! *hugs*
