Okay, moving on...
Like most other bookworms, great books make their way onto my "things I'm thankful for" list every year. It's hard to choose favorites, but I went ahead and picked five books I read in 2016 and am thankful for.
- Quest for the Beast by Sarah Holman // I'm not only thankful for book because it was a good one (though it was!!), but because I discovered this author through it. I've now read most of her shorter works and I'm looking forward to reading more!! :)
- They Called Her Mrs. Doc by Janette Oke // As with the aforementioned book, by reading this book I ended up falling in love with many of this author's amazing books. :)
- Interrupted by Rachel Coker // This is an absolutely beautiful book. I'm so glad I found it. Learning that it was written by a teen showed me that writers can begin anywhere. <3
- Dare by Tricia Mingerink // Similar to #1 and #2, I'm thankful that I chose to read this book in January and discovered a great series. ^.^
- Anchored by Kayla Aimee // I'm thankful I read this book this year, because through it I found the authors blog. A lovely place of real life rambles, southern humor, and quick wit. ;)

Book sales are so great! I got “The Old River Road” for $0.99! I can’t wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteI’m definitely looking forward to another great year of reading too!
Some great books that I read it 2016 are: “A Distant Melody” by Sarah Sundin, “A Women Named Damaris” by Janette Oke, “Dana’s Valley” by Janette Oke, “The Wish” by Beverly Lewis, and “Anna’s Crossing” by Suzanne Woods Fisher, along with lots of others! ;)
They are!! Oh, yay!! I really think you'll enjoy that one; it reminded me a lot of Janette Oke's books. :) I got three of the free/discounted ebooks. :D
Delete*oohs and ahhs over your list* All those are great!! I haven't read "Anna's Crossing" yet, but I have all the others. ;) Have you read book two... "The Newcomer", I think it is?
I'm so excited to read it! :)
DeleteI think you might like "Anna's Crossing". It was a little bit harder for me to get into, but once I did I enjoyed it. ;) "The Newcomer" actually hasn't come out just yet, but I think it does the end of January. I'm really looking forward to it though! Then I saw that the third book "The Return" comes out in August. :)
I'd to hear your thoughts and/or discuss it with you! :)
DeleteOkay! It's on my ridiculously long list of books to read for 2017... ;) Haha, oh okay. :P I knew I had saw the cover around, so I guess I just assumed it was already out. :P August – cool! :)
thanks for sharing about my sale! <3 What a great list you put together!
ReplyDeleteGlad to do it! <3 Your book is amazing!
