If you guessed the
In no particular order, possible stops on the very-unstable and subject-to-drastic-change route are as follows: Grand Canyon in Arizona, cave dwellings in New Mexico, redwoods in California, friends in Idaho, the Oregon coast, friends in Kansas, Pawhuska Oklahoma (Pioneer Woman, y'all), and Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon in Nevada.
So here's my question for y'all. Have you been to any of these places? Were they all hype and not worth the time they required? Or were they well worth it? Is there anything near any of these locations that we should check out?
Short post for today, but that's alright. ;) I look forward to hearing from y'all!!
~Faith
I have not been to any of these places. My parents have been to the Grand Canyon and my mom said it is beautiful. Um, suggestions? Trying to think...I've got nothing. I hope y'all have a fun and safe trip! <3

I'm really looking forward to the Grand Canyon. :D Thanks so much, Ivie! <3
DeleteThat's so fun! I live on this side of the U.S and I've been around some.
ReplyDeleteSo most of all I have to suggest the San Diego zoo. It's worth all the hype! But you need to do your research on the schedule. Come at opening (it's not as packed as Disneyland) and go straight to the pandas. After that, you've got the whole day to wander through all the other places. I especially liked the elephants and the monkeys. :D
And there's a polar bear!
What else? We went to the Grand Canyon and it was nice and all, but it's a lot better when you and your family are hikers. My family are not hikers so we ended up spending most of our day on the shuttle buses.
Stop in at San Francisco just to say you've been there, the Golden Gate Bridge has a toll though. They sent it to us in our mail like a month after the trip cause they weren't open when we crossed it. XD.
If you want you can visits Seattle in Washington. There is a lot to do there.
Stop by Route 66. The whole deal itself the whole way through is better taken by video because it's boring to go yourself, but you can still stop at one of the towns (we went to Flagstaff Arizona which is only about 45 min drive from Grand Canyon. That's where we had Chick fil a for the first time ever. :D)
I don't know if you're driving, so if your flying it might be harder to get to some of these places.
But do visit the San Diego Zoo! (If you're animal people.)
Thanks for the suggestion, Libby! South Cali isn't on the agenda for this trip though. ;)
DeleteThat's good to know! My family and I do hike fairly often and we enjoy it. :)
Haha, that's hilarious. XD Not sure if we'll make it to San Fran either, though... We can only fit so much into 3-4 weeks. ;P
That sounds fun, but Washington State isn't in the plans either. ;)
Okay, thanks! (Whaaa? You hadn't had Chick-Fil-A before?! O.O That's tragic!)
Yes, we will be driving the entire trip. :)
Thanks again!
I used to live in Oregon, and let me tell you--the coast is gorgeous! I don't know which beach you are planning to go to, but Seaside is more tourist-y with cute little shops and Cannon Beach is visually interesting with all the rocks. Some of my friends liked Hug Point, but I never went there. ;) Are you all stopping at Multnomah Falls?
ReplyDeleteThe Grand Canyon is fantastic!!! I live in Arizona, so you think I'd go there more often, but I've actually only been once. XD
Soooo jealous about Oklahoma. :D
So good to hear, Kate! I'm really looking forward to Oregon. :D Okay, thanks! Haha, I had to google Multnomah Falls. :P Looks like it's also called Bridal Veil? Some friends suggested stopping there, so possibly!
DeleteAwesome! Haha, there's places in NC that people travel to see that I've never been too. ;)
Looking forward to that one too!!
Go to Four Corners! Never been there, but I've always wanted to stand in four states at one time!
ReplyDeleteNever been to the Grand Canyon, but I've always been told it's gorgeous. Great Creation science lesson too;)
Ryana Lynn
Oh, that's somewhere that Dad mentioned, but I neglected to include in the post. How cool that would be!! Thanks, Ryana! :D
DeleteHaha, yep, definitely. ;)
Since I’ve basically never been out of my home states, barely even my county, i can’t help here. I hope you have an awesome trip! (I really testing to see if i can comment cause this is showing up differently than is normally does...)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth! (And yay! Your comment came through. :D)
DeleteWhat fun!! I am afraid I have no recommendations for you, because I've been on three out-of-state trips in my life, and they were each around-ish here. The Black Hills/Mount Rushmore (and I was really little so I don't remember a whole lot unfortunately. ^.^), The American Girl Place in Chicago, and The Creation Museum in Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the sights you mentioned! Take lots of pictures and have a fantastic time!!! :)
Oh, the Black Hills/Mount Rushmore is a beautiful area! We went through there in '15. :) The Creation Museum is somewhere I want to go too!
DeleteThanks, Raechel! I'm sure y'all will see lots of pictures. ;D
Vacations are so much fun!! :D I hope you have a super fun time! Fun planning it too. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are!! Thanks so much, Rebekah! <3
DeleteOhhh, Kansas? *ears perk up* think maybe I might be able to see ya? ;)
ReplyDeleteHmm...ya never know... ;)
DeleteI Love your post. Sounds exciting Faith! PS do you think you could get some pictures of the grand canyon for me maybe send me some I never got to see it I love too. If not that is fine.
ReplyDeleteOps! I meant a question Mark after some.
DeleteThanks, Naomi! Oh, sure! I plan to take lots of pictures and post some here, but I could send some to you too. ;)
DeleteIt was fate to come here at this place. It really paves the way for me to want to go out more. I was fortunate enough to have seen this excellent place with my friends. The entire space at event locations feel warm and intimate.
